Being Human

Words have definitions that come with roots,

As people water them to make it grow.

If words had no power,

Their seeds would not sprout.

If words had no power then maybe,

We'd be like any other mammal and perhaps the earth

Would be better off if words had no power.

Wars would be purely based on survival,

Rather than different interpretations of the bible,

Being hurt by a word does not make you weak but human.
